GETTING HERE

UniSC Sunshine Coast is located in the suburb of Sippy Downs on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

BY AIR
The closest airport is Sunshine Coast Airport at Maroochydore with direct flights to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Cairns and Auckland, among others. Brisbane Airport is the closest major airport and is a short 1 hour and 20 minutes drive from the Sunshine Coast. Shuttle buses service both airports, and car rental is also available.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Translink provides bus service options for travel between UniSC Sunshine Coast and other locations in Queensland. A bus service connects the Queensland Rail CityTrain with the UniSC via Landsborough and Nambour stations. Use the journey planner on the Translink website to find timetables and fares for this route. 

All fares on Translink services are 50 cents per journey, regardless of how far you travel on the network or how you choose to pay. Normal transfer rules apply.

Contactless payment (Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit or debit cards) is available on all South East Queensland (SEQ) trains, trams, ferries and buses.

CAR
From the Bruce Highway, take exit 194 towards Mooloolaba and continue onto Sunshine Motorway (State Route 70). Take the Dixon Road exit and turn right onto Sippy Downs Drive.

PARKING
UniSC Sunshine Coast is a regulated parking area Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm. Parking is free on weekends and public holidays.

Parking locations closest to the event are P6 and P8 on the parking and amenities map.

ACCOMODATION

Mooloolaba is a great location with an easy drive to and from the University, and it offers plenty of accommodation options. Alternatively, booking accommodation in Sippy Downs will place you close to the UniSC campus.

ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS
From the bus interchange, taxi/rideshare drop off and carpark, follow the ANAT SPECTRA signage along the footpath to UniSC Art GalleryFor further information, see the site map here.

AFTER ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS
The registration desk is at the UniSC Art Gallery, located on the ground floor and all on one level. There is one entrance at the front of the building, with a glass automatic door that is also used as the exit. This entrance is wheelchair accessible.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING
The closest accessible parking bays to the Art Gallery are located in carpark P8.

No parking fees are charged for holders of government-issued disability parking permits who are parked in designated disability (accessible) parking bays on campus.

VENUE AND FACILITIES
All venues at the UniSC Sunshine Coast campus are wheelchair accessible and include accessible, all-gender toilets. Key event spaces have clear signage and are near convenient drop-off points and accessible parking. Quiet spaces will also be available on campus for rest, regulation, or retreat.

An all-gender, accessible toilet is located within the Art Gallery building, with additional facilities available across the UniSC Sunshine Coast campus. Signage throughout the campus will help you find these locations.

EVENT FORMAT AND SENSORY CONSIDERATIONS
Over the three days, the program includes a variety of formats such as seated presentations, immersive performances, and accessible, low-impact outdoor experiences. We will do our best to indicate sessions involving loud sounds, strobe effects, or intense visuals. The program also offers regular rest breaks, low-sensory areas, and opportunities for flexible participation.

COMMUNICATION AND ASSISTANCE
Live captioning and/or Auslan interpretation will be available on request for key sessions. Assistive listening devices can be made available upon request. A companion or support worker may attend at no extra cost. 

ASSISTANCE DOGS
Guide dogs and registered assistance dogs are welcome at UniSC. 

OFFSITE EXPERIENCES
The Tallo Billa and Maroochy Bushland experiences involve travel by boat and walking through bushland or uneven terrain. We will do our best to accommodate any mobility support needs—please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
