Welcoming new voices to the ANAT Board

We’re delighted to welcome Ruth Weldon and Jesse Budel to the Australian Network for Art & Technology (ANAT) Board of Directors, as our newly appointed South Australian Board members.

For almost four decades, ANAT has been Australia’s leading national organisation dedicated to experimental art, supporting artists working across science, technology and interdisciplinary practice. While our reach is national, our home has always been on Kaurna Country in South Australia, a connection that continues to shape our organisation as we approach our 40th year.

Ruth brings more than twenty years of experience across festivals, youth arts, arts education and community cultural development. Through her work with Post Office Projects Gallery & Studio, Nexus Arts and Access2Arts, she is a passionate advocate for accessible arts practice and fostering the next generation of artists and arts workers.

Jesse is a South Australian composer, sound artist, researcher and arts leader whose practice spans acoustic ecology, spatial audio, interdisciplinary collaboration and creative technologies. His work explores the relationships between sound, place, ecology and culture, bringing valuable expertise at the intersection of artistic practice, research and emerging technologies.

ANAT’s Board plays a vital role in guiding the organisation’s vision and ensuring experimental artists continue to have opportunities to create ambitious work with science and technology. We’re thrilled to welcome Ruth and Jesse and look forward to the insight, leadership and local perspective they’ll bring to ANAT as we continue to grow from our South Australian base.

Please join us in welcoming Ruth and Jesse to the ANAT Board.
